Do I need a visa or an e-Visa?
It depends on your nationality and on which passport you hold, and Turkey draws that line more finely than most. Some travel visa-free; others apply online for an e-Visa. Anyone travelling for education, employment or medical treatment needs a proper visa regardless of nationality, and that catches people who assume tourism rules cover a clinic appointment.
